About Habitat for Humanity of Central Arkansas

HFHCA was founded in 1989 as a non-profit housing organization to help provide safe, affordable housing in central Arkansas, and since then has built over 200 homes, rehabbed over 600 homes, and kept over 10 million pounds of reusable materials out of local landfills. 100% of our clients are low-to-moderate income.

Here in central Arkansas, we carry out our mission through three primary focus areas:
• The Habitat Homeowner Program allows us to build safe, decent, affordable houses for low-to-moderate income individuals who may not otherwise qualify for a traditional mortgage.
• The second focus area of Habitat is the Neighborhood Revitalization Program. Staff works with current low to moderate income homeowners to do exterior rehab projects such as painting, accessibility modifications, roof and porch repairs, weatherization, and home preservation.
• The third focus area of our organization is our Habitat ReStore. This is a home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, and building materials to the public. It serves as a ministry to our community and homeowners by offering home essentials at a fraction of the retail price to those who might not otherwise afford them.
